Request for New Hampshire sociodemographic data

To check for sociologically significant variables that might be correlated to voting method, we need sociodemographic data on New Hampshire by voting precinct. Unfortunately it seems that the US Census Bureau won't give these for free. Does anyone have such data?

If data for Census county subdivisions (i.e. incorporated towns) can stand in for voting districts (since they seem closely aligned with the names of the voting districts), you could try that.

I've picked out some stats here:

Is the data easily available for a fee? What is the cost?

Ah, no, sorry, it's all free.

http://www.census.gov/
-> Census 2000
-> American FactFinder
-> Decennial Census: "get data"
-> Census 2000 Summary File 1 (or 3, depending on what you want)
-> Detailed Tables

Choose "County Subdivision" and then "New Hampshire".

Then you'll have to iterate through the counties and for each choosing All Subdivisions and then Add.

-> Next

Then you can choose what stats you want, and there's a download option (including CSV + transposed).

There's also a Quick Tables thing, but I'm not sure it comes out right for what you'd want. Maybe.

Census 2000 Summary File 1 has run of the mill data. Census 2000 Summary File 3 has more interesting things. But there are something like 11 thousand stats per geographic area available, so... yeah.

(I got the stats I posted a different way with an RDF database of the census that I've been toying with...)

Hope that helps.
